Cleaning With Vinegar

Did you know you can use vinegar for more than just cooking? Vinegar can be used as an eco-friendly alternative to harsh cleaning chemicals. We actually use vinegar in place of harmful products (unless instructed otherwise by the client) to keep your family and pets safe!

Stay tuned on how you can use vinegar to clean your home! Make sure you dilute the vinegar (1 part vinegar, 3 parts water).

  • Streak free Windows/mirrors
  • Floor cleaner (you can use this on ALL types of flooring & it’s not harsh on your hardwood)
  • Add a little essential oil to your mixture, and you can use it as an all purpose cleaner (you can also use this for pet stains!).
  • Cleaning your microwave. Set a microwave friendly dish in the microwave filled with your vinegar mixture, then turn the microwave on high for one minute. If there are some tough dibre, try another minute.
  • Refreshing your garbage disposal, I actually do this one myself. Pour some baking soda down the disposal, t hen add a little vinegar (yes, it’s going to foam but try not to use too much baking soda.) Rinse with hot water.
  • Cleaning the outside of your pots/pans. Use a magic eraser and some vinegar mixture, and your pots and pans will look almost brand new!
  • Stainless Steel Appliances. A lot of our clients prefer a stainless steel cleaner, but for the people that aren’t crazy about chemicals use vinegar. It actually works pretty well. Or, if you don’t mind using the stainless steel cleaner, you can clean the appliances with vinegar first, then use the stainless steel cleaner.
  • Pet stains/smells. Mix vinegar mixture with a little dish soap and scrub the desired spot(s) with a cloth.
  • Refreshing/cleaning your dishwasher. Fill a dishwasher safe dish/cup with vinegar, and start the dishwasher like normal.
  • Window Tracks. Not only is it safe for your home and pets, it’s safe for the environment! Spray the vinegar mixture on the tracks, then add a little baking soda, then scrub with a grout brush or an old toothbrush.
  • Cleaning your fresh fruit/veggies. Don’t worry, it won’t leave a funny smell or taste, just make sure to rinse with water.
  • Unclogging your drains. For this one, I recommend using straight vinegar, not the mixture.
  • Cleaning rusty tools/utensils. I would also recommend using straight vinegar for this one as well. Have the tools/utensils sit in the vinegar completely submerged for 12 hours. When you pull them out, they should look brand new!
  • Cleaning your keurig. Fill the water reservoir with vinegar, then brew as normal (without the k-cup.) Repeat until all vinegar is gone!

Can I simply say what a comfort to uncover somebody who genuinely knows what they are discussing on the net. You definitely realize how to bring a problem to light and make it important. More and more people have to look at this and understand this side of the story. I cant believe you are not more popular given that you most certainly have the gift.
